About Dr. Kimberly L. Titus
Dr. Kimberly Titus is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey who provides psychotherapy and comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments for adolescents and adults. Her work focuses on helping individuals better understand their cognitive, emotional, and developmental profiles so they can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and effective support.
Dr. Titus has extensive experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and autism spectrum disorder. She has particular expertise in complex or nuanced presentations, including individuals whose symptoms may have gone unrecognized earlier in life, such as high-masking or late-identified autism. Her clinical approach integrates developmental history, clinical observation, standardized assessment, and collaborative discussion to develop accurate diagnoses and meaningful treatment recommendations.
In therapy, Dr. Titus uses an integrative, evidence-based approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches help clients develop practical skills for managing anxiety, regulating emotions, improving executive functioning, and building a life aligned with their personal values. Treatment focuses not only on symptom reduction but also on strengthening resilience, insight, and day-to-day functioning.
In addition to therapy, Dr. Titus conducts comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for autism and ADHD across the lifespan and collaborates closely with families, educators, and healthcare providers to support coordinated care, educational planning, and workplace accommodations when appropriate. She also serves as adjunct faculty at William Paterson University, where she teaches graduate coursework in psychological assessment and test interpretation.
Dr. Titus earned her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in School-Community Psychology from Hofstra University and completed postdoctoral training at the Child Mind Institute’s Healthy Brain Network, where she conducted multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluations and contributed to large-scale developmental research initiatives. She's also worked as a psychologist in some of New Jersey's public and special education schools, as well as, teaching graduate students in the Special Education Department at a local college. She has served as a Psychologist at the Goryeb Children's Hospital Child Development Center pioneering Autism evaluations for late-diagnosed and high-masking individuals, conducting psychoeducational assessments, executive function training, and offering guidance and support to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
